Heuchara will need a shady spot that is well endowed with organic matter and is evenly moist but well drained. They can brighten up a shady spot with the colors, especially some of the newer cultivars available, and are generally quite easy to care for as long as their needs are met.

Those plants should be in a cool storage place so they go and stay dormant, but not someplace where the temperatures will drop below freezing long enough to freeze the plants roots. If you have an unheated section of the basement, where the mean temperature would be below 50 but above 40, that would be ideal.

I live in Zone 8 in Texas and I have Mexican Heather that I have had now for 5 years. I have these planted in the ground and each winter they die back. I continue to water in the winter if needed. In spring when I see green and new growth I prune back all the dead and it takes off. Hope this helps you.

I am trying to locate a metal yard artist who displayed at the Sunset Festival in North Little Rock, Arkansas over Labor Day Weekend 6 or 8 years ago. I bought 3 large, painted caladium leaves on rebar. My check was written to LJs Outback.

This artist also had large clumps of flowers like iris, with the leaves and with the flowers in various opening stages. Everything was painted - stood 3-4 feet high and probably 2-3 feet wide, on a base on the ground. Also had larger pieces.

Does anyone know this artist or someone who does similar work.

What you need depends on how you will use it, but generally those with the 20 inch bicycle type wheels are better for traveling over uneven surfaces than the single wheel "contractors" type. Plastic bodies won't rust out, but my metal bodied thing, bought used 20 years ago, still has not rusted out although it does get rusty.
What you really need to do is go out and look at all the various types and use them enough to find out what you like and get that one. How easy is it to get "stuff" out? How well does it move over the terrain? Are the handles comfortable for you? Can you keep a slightly unstable single wheel one from tipping? Buting a wheel barrow is kind of like buying a hammer, you need to go try one out.

Joel, It would help if you listed the varieties of coral bells that you planted. Some are more sun tolerant, others prefer more shade. Of the coral bells that I have, the following do extremely well in full sun: Marmalade, Cappuccino, Ebony & Ivory, Peach Flambe, Color Dream, Petite Pearl Fairy. One that does not like full sun is Snow Angel. It is a variegated variety and it's leaves scorched in full sun, so I had to move it to a shadier location.
