Maintaining my wheel barrow

I have no where to store my wheelbarrow but outside. The wooden handles are drying out and if I am not careful I end up picking splinters out of my hands. Any ideas on how I can cover the handles and thereby protect my hands would be greatly appreciated.

Go to a boat store and get some marine sealer. It will protect your handles and extend the life of the wood.

You could cover the handles with a water-proof tape.
