Growing chlematis plants

  Re: (0...)
I have grown chlematis plants for many years successfully. I wondered if anyone has tried to grow new plants from the flower seeds. With over sixty flower plants each it seems that the seeds could be used to start new plants. Have never tried but interested in doing so.

Many of the new cultivars of any plants are now protected by plant patents so seeds are not available and will not be available until the patent expires. The only way you can get many new plants is to purchase a plant from the holder of that plant patent. If you do get one of those patented plants and do get viable seed, sharing with others can be problematic because the PP protects the propagation of that plant.
