Double Impatiens, from everything I have read, are supposed to be super-easy to maintain.
Yet the one I bought for my Mom for Mother's Day seems to be problematic already. It is in a hanging pot, and she hung it in a well-lit corner of a screened-in porch. It doesn't get direct wind, or sunlight, or anything harsh. The leaves look healthy and so do the blooms. At least, the ones that stay on long enough to open.
For some reason, this plant seems to spontaneously drop buds. Every morning when she opens the porch, Mom finds 5-10 buds or half-open blooms on the floor. Any ideas? What is happening to the plant??
Thanks,
Patience
