Fuzzy Red Rasberries

The berries that are picked in summer are okay, but the ones in the fall are smaller, the majority of them turn fuzzy and moldy looking before they ripen. I remove dead canes in late fall and cut back the others as suggested in an issue of Garden Gate Magazine. How can I prevent this condition, and what else should I do to improve the berries?

does your berries have good air circulation? Sounds like a fungi.A fungi need warm temperatures and humid conditions,Anything you can do to keep the above groundparts of the plants dry will be to your advantage.Also good drainage,avoid over head watering,if the fungal diseases were a problem in previous years,you might have to apply lime-sulfur spray in the spring when the first leaves are 1/4"-1/2" long.
