Does anyone know if you are supposed to deadhead hollyhocks in order for them to produce more flowers, or is the first stalk with flowers the only one for each season???

All of the hollyhocks I have grown repeat flowering very prolifically without my deadheading them, however you could if you wished. As kids we did that to Moms hollyhocks to make wee dolls from the flowers.
