Our rhubarb seems to attract some form of pest that ruins it for edible use. Even this early it has begun. There are tiny nodules and tunnel like formations throughout the stalk. Anyone have similar problems or a solution? We love to eat it, but lose a lot this way.

There aren't many insects that will munch on rhubarb, rhubarb curculios, Japanese beetles, a few caterpillars, and then usually only plants under stress. Be sure the soil is very well endowed with organic matter, stays evenly moist but is well drained. The rhubabrb curculio is a black, weevil looking bug and can be hand picked while the larva of these buggers feed on dock, thistle, and sunflower stalks. A Bacillus thuringiensis - kurstaki spray can help there.
